This blog aspires to offer a New Urbanist perspective on a very special city -- Jerusalem, Israel.
My name is Julie Rosenzweig. I am a religiously observant, American-born mother of four, a professional translator and former academic librarian. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I have been living in Israel since 1992, most of that time in Jerusalem.
A concern for the city prompted me to start this blog; in particular, a perceived disconnect between current global trends in the direction of walkability/traditional city design, and real-life development here in the Holy City (and in Israel generally).
Readers are welcome to contact me via e-mail, or to visit/join the Facebook group that I administer, Let's Talk about Architecture and Urban Planning in Jerusalem .
